DESIGN RESEARCH, BRANDING, MARKETING STRATEGY
Background
Compassionate Austin refers to a movement or initiative in Austin, Texas, aimed at promoting compassion, empathy, and kindness within the community. It is part of a larger global movement known as the Charter for Compassion, which seeks to inspire people to embrace the principle of compassion in their daily lives and to work collectively toward creating a more compassionate world.
The Problem
The main issue is the significant lack of awareness about Compassionate Austin, which has persisted since the charter was signed 10 years ago and worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the founder, Lesa Walker, faces challenges in balancing her responsibilities within the organization. She is uncertain about committing to turning Compassionate Austin into a nonprofit, hoping for a creative solution for the organization to be self-sustaining in her eventual absence.
Problem Definition
Help Lesa Walker make Compassionate Austin an organization that ignites and supports compassionate work in Austin and keeps a sustainable organization structure.
